PIONEERS OF HOPE: Doug Oliver's Interview of Dr. Francis Collins, Director of NIH, for the Regen
Doug recently had the honor of interviewing Francis Collins, Director of the National Institutes of Health, for the World Stem Cell Summit Blog of the Regenerative Medicine Foundation. Dr. Collins is a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the National Medal of Science, and is considered the "Father of the Human Genome Project." This interview captures his passion, the stories that drive him to pursue his life-changing work, and his personal hopes for patients and the research he undertakes in regenerative and precision medicine. Doug says, "I have had the honor to get know and depend upon his wisdom and kindness. He is an inspiration for leadership and the perfect 'Pioneer of Hope' to introduce our series with, and we are honored to offer it, in recognition of Bernie Seigel and the World Stem Cell Summit." The WSCS is hosted by the Regenerative Medicine Foundation, our collaborators in advancing patient access to world-class stem cell resources.
